Charlie Diana and baby Grace
Welcome to little Grace, the most beautiful and beloved firstborn daughter of Charlie and Diana.
I totally enjoyed my experience of being with this charming couple during Grace's birth, it was a blessing to be present during such a serene and tranquil labour.
Diana managed at home beautifully til transition, and was only in the hospital for three and a half hours before Grace was delivered. The doctor and midwives said she had restored their faith in first time mum's, because of how incredibly well she coped, being completely drug and intervention-free, with the exception of gas for about three contractions altogether!!!
This was especially a major feat for Diana, as most woman of her aquaintance have had caesareans or many interventions due to the standard medical practice in the country they moved from. Way to go Diana, in having the courage and confidence in your body to birth your baby naturally!!!
This is Diana's viewpoint:
My story is very similar to the others in a way that Tammy helped me throughout pregnancy, labour and post natal. She educated me about all aspects of pregnancy and labour and made me feel confident that I can do it. I certainly would have done it differently without her help. A friend of mine told me that I had an easy labour for a first-time mom and i told him that without Tammy I wouldn't be able to do it. I had my full trust in her and she did whatever she could to support me physically and emotionally. She guided my husband and my mom-in-law to support me. I had the amazing support from them.
One of the best thing of having Tammy as my doula is that I had only gas for my pain relief and she made sure I didn't tear. If I did it myself, i would've used epidural and tear everywhere.
I remember clearly that after giving birth, a couple midwives came to me to congratulate me for having the perfect doula with capital P. One of the midwives told me that Tammy changed her mind about doula because she can see that Tammy did a very good job of supporting me and guiding my family throughout the labour.
I guess some ppl are just doing their job, but some ppl are made for the job. Tammy is the perfect doula for the job. I highly recommend Tammy.
